  • VPH - Industry Meeting 2010
    The event, held on 8-9 September 2010 by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, was organised by the European Network of Excellence (NoE) for the Virtual Physiological Human (VPH) initiative. The aims of the meeting was to increase the awareness amongst European Industry of the vision, the concepts, and the concrete technological achievements of VPH-related research. A post-event debriefing document is now available and can be downloaded from the VPH NoE website.

  • VPHOP gets coverage on the Irish Times - Science Today: "Medical avatars: mapping our health"
    The Irish Times dedicated a full article on the VPHOP project and its personalized predictive approach. The journalist, Alison Jones, describes the Virtual Physiological Human as a computer-based avatar, which simulates the physiological reactions of someone's body, enabling to diagnose their symptoms, anticipate future illnesses and predict side-effects of treatment.
