    The Virtual Physiological Human Network of Excellence (VPH NoE) held the first of a series of VPH Conferences (VPH2010) on 30th September to 1st October, 2010. The meeting took place in the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium, and was supported by the European Commission ICT for Health / DG Information Society and Media. The meeting was devoted to the VPH Initiative and brought together key representatives from VPH groups, Industry and Clinics.

  • Grand Challenge Competition to Predict In Vivo Knee Loads
    A grand challenge competition to predict in vivo knee loads will be hosted at the 2011 American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Summer Bioengineering meeting in Pennsylvania. The data for the competition has just been posted at The competition provides the musculoskeletal modeling research community the opportunity to test their force prediction algorithms objectively and assess the state-of-the-art in the field.

  • VPH - Industry Meeting 2010
    The event, held on 8-9 September 2010 by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, was organised by the European Network of Excellence (NoE) for the Virtual Physiological Human (VPH) initiative. The aims of the meeting was to increase the awareness amongst European Industry of the vision, the concepts, and the concrete technological achievements of VPH-related research. A post-event debriefing document is now available and can be downloaded from the VPH NoE website.
