Marco Viceconti is the coordinator of the VPHOP integrated project, a large European research consortium that is developing simulation-based technology for predicting the risk of bone fracture in osteoporosis patients. from 1990 until 2011 he worked at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute where he is currently the Technical Director of the Medical Technology Lab. From 2005 to 2009 he is also served as Director of the BioComputing? Competence Centre. Since October 2011 he is professor at the University of Sheffield, UK.
