VPH & FP7: Call for Proposal!

Within the Seventh Framework Programme, under Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Challenge 5 Towards sustainable and personalised healthcare includes the objective Virtual Physiological Human (5.3) whose call was published on June 12nd, 2007 - FP7-ICT-2007-2
- Indicative budget distribution: 72M€
- Funding schemes: CP (collaborative projects), NoE (networks of excellence), CSA (coordination and support actions)
Target outcomes => Patient-specific computer models for personalised and predictive healthcare and ICT-based tools for modeling and simulation of human physiology and disease-related processes:
- Patient-specific computational modelling and simulation of organs or systems targeting specific clinical needs such as prediction of diseases, early diagnosis, disease quantification, surgery planning, treatment and training.
- Data integration and new knowledge extraction
- Clinical applications and demonstration of tangible benefits of patient-specific computational models
- Networking actionon integrating European research in the field of multilevel modelling and simulation and human anatomy and physiology.
- Coordination and support actions either on enhancing security and privacy in VPH, in particular for patient data processed over distributed networks and on Specific International Cooperation Action on healthcare information systems based on Grid capabilities
