STEP Draft Roadmap Index
The STEP consortium released the first draft of the Index of what will become the Europhysiome Roadmap to the VIrtual Physiological Human.
The STEP action aims to coordinate the efforts toward the creation of the virtual physiological human (VPH) around the collective identity called Europhysiome. The main goal is the creation of a research roadmap toward the VPH.
In preparation of the first STEP conference the consortium released a first draft of the roadmap index which indicates the topics that will be covered by this document.
The list of argument is very broad and goes from the identification fo collective research challenges to the ethical issues related with the sharing of clinical data, to the need and strategies for the creation of a long lasting community around the VPH concept.
Meanwhile more than 100 invited experts are working within the six thematic strands to fill up the roadmap, which should be out before the end of 2006.
