Model Reproducibility and VPH Institute petition

by Tara Chapman last modified 2010-01-08 21:05

If you are involved in VPH research we need your help and support! Please look at the following news items which are petitions based on a Model Reproducibility statement and the creation of the VPH institute

There are now two on-line petitions open for signature on Biomed Town. The first is statement on Model Reproducibility for Physiome Research that was first presented at the VPH NoE satellite symposium in Kyoto, and then again at the VPH NoE General Assembly in Brussels this fall. http://www.biomedtown.org/biomed_town/VPH/petitions/reproducibility/

The second is a petition in support of the creation of the VPH Institute, as already recommended in the vision paper the VPH NoE recently published. http://www.biomedtown.org/biomed_town/VPH/petitions/institute/

Both arguments have been repeatedly discussed with a large number of colleagues, and we are quite confident there is general consensus on them; still as you know petitions are useful only if thousands sign them. Thus, I would ask you not only to sign both of them, but also to circulate this information to as many colleagues as possible, not only within your department, but also among the members of all VPH-related projects you are involved with.
