University of Bedfordshire is born

The University of Luton, STEP and LHDL Consortium Partner, merged with De Montfort University's Bedford campus

On the 1st of August, 2006 has been officially launched the new born University of Bedfordshire.

This University was formed by the merger of De Montfort University's Bedford campus with University of Luton which takes part in two EU projects Consortium hosted within BiomedTown:

STEP: a Strategy for the Europhysiome - contract N°027642
LHDL: Living Human Digital Library: Interactive digital library services to access collections of comlex biomedical data on the musculo-skeletal apparatus - contract N°IST-2004-026932
