The German national e-Science framework is the national initiative to enable Grid computing, knowledge networking, e-Learning and open access in all science domains. The aim of the framework - funded by the German ministry for education and research (BMBF) - is to provide coordination and collaboration between different research areas which are involved and interested in e-Science.
