CINECA will organise between 13 and 17 October 2008 in Bologna (Italy) a specialistic school entitled Programming with OpenMAF. The school is free but limited to 20 participants, because of the many hands-on sessions it includes.
This 1st Specialist School Programming with OpenMAF, organised in cooperation with the international consortia of the LHDL and VPHOP projects, aims to complement the conventional training in computer graphics and scientific visualisation with the in-depth training on the development of software applications for computer aided medicine with the Open Source OpenMAF application framework. The topics that will be covered are: * OpenMAF 2.0: framework architecture; * Using MAF: Vme, View, Operations; * Data Management in MAF; * Creating new VME types; * Interactive visualisation in MAF; * Creating new View and Interactor types; * Data processing with Operations; * Creating new Operation types; Audience: the school is open to a maximum of 20 participants in difference scientific disciplines, who are interested in the development of computer aided medicine, as programmers, as bioengineers, or as power users. Pre-requisite: the knowledge of basic element of computer graphics is required.
