Who operates Biomed Town?

Biomed Town is operated by the Biocomputing Competence Centre, the biomedical division of SuperComputing? Solutions srl, a spin-off of the CINECA Supercomputing Centre established to exploit the results of ICT research activities, and to make available to industrial user the HPC services of the centre.
The system is operated by our Webmaster following the policies set by the City Managers group. This group includes all citizens who were appointed managers of a Building or of a Square. The City Managers virtually meet in the Biomed Town City Hall Building.
The management model is based on a strong delegation: each manager is personally responsible for the contents and the policies within the building or the square he or she manages; the City Manager Group surveys only the general respect of the community rules, but does not survey the content and the services of each sub-community.
