Software: TSM - Tivoli Storage Manager

Network: dedicated LAN network

Frequency: once a day (nightly)

Saved data (and when)

• storage (files saved on file system) - at 1,05 a.m.
• software (Zope instances, products and configuration files) - at 1,05 a.m.
• ZoDB (Zope DataBase, which contains all the portal objects) - at 4,05 a.m.

Where are saved: Biomed Town relies on the data management services of the CINECA supercomputing centre.

Disaster Recovery

This system provides to restore BiomedTown after a disaster. It periodically operates full (once per week) and incremental (twice per week) backup on a cache server inside CINECA network. Then this server pushes data into the disaster recovery site (external from CINECA)

Saved data are the same above (storage, software and ZoDB)

Frequency:

• full: sunday at 4,00 a.m.
• incremental: tuesday and friday at 4,00 a.m.
