Mimics Innovation Awards 2007 Winners Announced!

Mimics Innovation Awards reward the most innovative uses of Mimics, Materialise’ 3D Medical Imaging and Editing Software. June 1st 2007, Materialise announced the winners of the Mimics Innovation Awards 2007 at the International Mimics User Group Meeting in Washington, D.C.

June 1st 2007, Materialise announced the winners of the Mimics Innovation Awards 2007 at the International Mimics User Group Meeting in Washington, D.C. We congratulate:

  1. Category 1: Innovative implant design system & the development of innovative medical procedures. Vos W. – University Hospital Antwerp, Belgium. Combining Mimics and Computational Fluid Dynamics to Assist in and Evaluate the Placement of an Intrabronchial Stent in a Patient with Congenital Kyfoscoliosis
  2. Category 2: Adaptation of medical systems or procedures to the needs of third world countries or the lowering of threshold of medical procedures Ting J. – Shanghai 9th People’s Hospital, China. Design and Fabrication of Auricular Prostheses by CAD/CAM System
  3. Category 3: Open Category Helgason T. – Landspitali-University Hospital, Iceland. Using Mimics to Monitor Changes in Bone Mineral Density of Femur during Electrical Stimulation Therapy of Denervated Degenerated Thigh Muscles
  4. Runner up in Category 1 Arifin D.Y. – Molecular Engineering of Biological and Chemical Systems, Singapore. Patient-specific Chemotherapeutic Drug Delivery to Brain Tumors

These cases will be presented at the International Medical Innovations Conference 2008 in Vienna, Austria. Join us there!
