Mimics is a powerful, fast, intuitive and user-friendly tool for any 3D image-based project. Its customer base includes a virtual "who's who" in the implant design and manufacturing industry, as well as prominent universities around the world.
The software translates CT, microCT, MRI and Microscopy data into complete 3D models very easily and quickly for a variety of applications: from visualization over computer aided design (CAD), physical 3D medical modeling and virtual modeling for finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD), to virtual surgery simulation.

Every year, researchers can submit their project in three different categories. The winner in each category receives a 5.000€ money prize. Cases may as well be submitted in poster format, but only compete for a 2.500€ prize. All winners are invited to the annual international Medical Innovations Conference to present his research. Over the years, the Mimics Innovation Awards have become a prestigious prize in the field of 3D medical image processing. An independent, international jury, evaluates each paper thoroughly and selects the most innovative publications.
